If Tarantulas has any particular goal in mind when he enters the Booth, it is only to see to see a demonstration of Bronwyn's abilities. He's familiar in passing with the techniques of cold and hot reading, but even in his own universe there were individuals with genuinely extra-sensory abilities. He's more than happy to give an acquaintance from a completely different iteration of reality the benefit of the doubt for the chance to see something interesting.

So his mood is good as he enters the booth, even before he lays eyes on Bronwyn themselves. Then it's quietly elated, because he thinks they're very beautiful, and their appearance delights him. It hasn't occurred to him to read into this any further.

Bronwyn is quietly reading a book that they borrowed from the library, trying to learn a bit more about their surroundings during their down time. They're so zoned out with their book that it actually takes a moment to be alerted to Tarantulas' approach. They perk up, though, as his excitement intensifies.

This happens, they realize, as they come into Tarantulas' view.

Huh. Maybe he was flirting.

Either way, they brighten. "Evening! What can I do for you?"

"Good evening!" Tarantulas sits down across from them, smiling brightly. "I heard about the services you were offering here, and I was hoping to see them for myself. True clairvoyants are so rare in my home universe, you see."

Of course, if Bronwyn was counting on a quiet evening... "Is that alright?" he asks politely. "I wouldn't want to inconvenience you." At least, not very much.

"Not at all! This is my place of business, after all. Have a seat!"

"Thank you!" Tarantulas folds his hands on the table, watching Bronwyn raptly. "What's the first step? Should I try to put myself in a particular frame of mind?"

"Well, first let's decide on what sort of services you're interested in." Bronwyn gestures a clawed hand, which has only three fingers rather than five, to their items on the table. They haven't managed to purchase or find anything particularly exciting yet, but they have found a hunk of raw quartz, a lovely black bowl for water, and enough paper to hand-craft some simple tarot cards. Their menu of services (as seen above) is also behind them. "Thoughts?"

"I recognize the cards from the human datanet, and I can make a guess what the bowl of water's for, but what use do you have for a chunk of quartz?" he asks. His words might be slightly irreverent, but his tone and feelings are all sincere curiosity. Indeed, his fingers are itching with the denied urge to pick it up and inspect it.
